WebDir is an adware parasite that works as an Internet Explorer add-on designed to modify certain web site addresses to include a special ID, which belongs to the pest's author. Every time the user visits a particular web site, WebDir redirects him to a new address that allows the parasite's author to gain financially. WebDir doesn't have any additional functionality. It runs every time the user launches Internet Explorer.
