WinCoDecPRO is another fake application, pretending to be Windows multimedia coder/decoder. This rogue enters the system along with the trojan viruses or it can be downloaded and installed manually from noxious websites. WinCoDecPRO is advertised as new software that lets users create and play full HD videos, offering incredible visual quality, performance and efficiency.

However, after infection, this parasite displays fake codec error and redirects infected user to WinCoDecPRO website. WinCoDec PRO claims that current media codec has been destroyed and there is a risk of loosing all video and audio files. Then user is advertised to update media codec immediately. WinCoDecPRO even changes current Windows wallpaper to a warning message. It is obvious, that WinCoDecPRO is unwanted program and should be removed as soon as possible, otherwise it can cause more damage.
