WinDefender malware is usually presented as official security tool by Microsoft dedicated to protect Windows XP or Windows Vista users. This kind of advertising is misleading as Win Defender has nothing to do with Microsoft products and it’s not a security tool at all. Win Defender is a corrupt anti-spyware.

WinDefender 2008 infects computers when users install fake video codecs that are actually trojans. Once Win Defender reaches victim’s computer, it offers computer protection for a certain price. It uses intimidating tactic to convince people that they need a security tool. WinDefender usually loads “Threat detected” reports and constantly redirects web-browser to WinDefender’s website. Avoid this fraud at all costs! Paid version of Win Defender 2008 is the same pop-ups loading malware as trial version.

hi, thanks for this site, i deleted the files manually as i could not download anything. i also had to go to the files and search for windefender and delete those as well. alls well now.
