Windows Efficiency Magnifier is a rogue program that pretends to be a computer optimization utility. The rogue program comes from fake online scanners or through the use of Trojans that pretend to be Microsoft Security Essentials Alert. Once installed, Windows Efficiency Magnifier will pretend to scan the computer for various problems and errors and after the fake scan it reports overall system score which is obviously low to scare the user into thinking that there is something from with your computer.
