Windows Tool is a fake disk defragmentation program that displays fake error messages and pop-ups to make you think that your computer has some serious hard drive problems. The rogue program prompts to pay for a full version of the program to fix the errors. If you choose to purchase this bogus program, you will lose your money and give your credit card details to the cybercriminals who created this malware. Please use the removal instructions below to remove Windows Tool from your computer upon detection.

Windows Tool enters the system via Trojans, infected websites and fake online scanners. The program runs system scanner and later on reports critical errors detected on your system. It warns you that some of your private data might be lost because of the lack of free space, RAM memory usage, etc. The truth is that it is fake information and Windows Tool only wants you to believe your system is infected. Windows Tool will offer you purchasing a full version of its program with a promise that this will fix everything. However, its real intention is to receive your money, but in return you won’t get anything. Do not buy this rogue program. It won't help you. Some of the texts that you may see are:

Windows detected a hard drive problem.
A hard drive error occurred while starting the application.

Fix Disk
Windows Tool Diagnostics will scan the system to identify performance problems.
Start or Cancel

In order to stop all malicious activities on your computer you should remove Windows Tool as soon as possible. You can remove Windows Tool manually too, but remember that manual removal guide was made for the rogue program only and do not include other possible malware, rootkits. That's why you should scan your computer with Spyware Doctor or other anti-spyware software.

SYMPTOMS OF rogue antispyware INFECTION

Rogue AntiSpyware virus enters your PC without your consent or using some sort of social engineering trick. Fake scanner pages, malicious mail attachments or system vulnerabilities are often used.

Virus has a single goal: to gain money. Like other rogue anti-spyware applications, it will try to convince you that your system is infected with multiple parasites: trojans, adware, or other rogues. Typically, rogues do not provide enough detail about infections detected or show fake results. Rogue anti-spyware like Windows Tool will not clean any actual infections for free.

Most of the parasites of this type do not have parasite detection engine thus every warning they show is a random one. If you see persistent popups or alerts, you can safely discard them.

You should never pay for Rogue Anti-spyware application like Windows Tool as it funds development of other computer parasites.
