Worm Winfig spreads through floppy disks. It installs itself to the system and places infected files on all detected floppy disks. Once per year it runs its payload. It changes the default desktop background and displays several messages. Then it creates lots of directories on a hard disk and deletes critical operating system files. As a result, the infected computer cannot load the operating system.
