WinSecure (also known as WinSecure), the clone of WinSecureAV, is a corrupt disc encryption application that infects computers via various trojans, adult and warez websites of questionable security, and via misleading advertising. Once inside, it starts to generate massive amounts of pop-up notifications that start WinSecure once clicked upon. As soon as the parasite is up and running, WinSecure performs a fake scan followed by a counterfeit scan report, which displays exaggerated amounts of threats in order to trick users into purchasing the "full" WinSecure version.
