X10 is an adware program that downloads and displays commercial advertisements. It can get into the system along with some ad-supported software. Once executed, X10 installs its files and registers itself in the Windows registry as a browser add-on. The parasite runs on every Internet Explorer startup.

• Connects itself to the internet
• Hides from the user
• Stays resident in background
