Comments on XP Police Antivirus

I did a system restore (Accessories/System tools/System restore) and there's no sign of the stuff. But originally, it didn't allow me to do a system restore so I opened up Norton and there was an option to system restore. Problem solved!
I tried to download kaspersky to get rid of it but it shut me out of my computer. I cannot run in normal or safe mode. If I try in safe mdoe it tells me "Bad system config info".
don't like it please remove
I ran Avir Anti-Vir & SpyBot from the UBCD4Windows & that kiiled it.
I deleted all files and dll's. There seems to be no sign of the beast, but it won't allow me to run a system restore or access Internet Explorer. Any advice on getting back onto the web? It gives me a System Error when I try to access IE
How do I get to the dll so I can delete it?
How do I get to the dll file so I can delete it?
How sodding annoying is this piece of crap?

I didnt download anything, so where the hell did it come from? avast running & spyware S&D and niether picked it up, both up to date afaik.

Who gets a thrill out of screwing people pc's up? dickheads.
I did a system restore and that alone removed it...there are no traces of these files.
Start, Run, and copy & paste this (w/o quotes):
"REG add HKCUSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesSystem /v DisableTaskMgr /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f"

This will unlock TaskMgr and allow you to kill this crap.
This thing is a bear! I've gotten rid of most of it, but it has hijacked my Taskmanager, and I can't get it back. Any suggestions, anyone?
