XPdefender is another corrupt anti-spyware parasite that infects computers without user knowledge. This usually happens after a certain trojan gets inside the system and disables security processes that otherwise wouldn't allow XPdefender to get into it.

Once inside, XPdefender starts to generate numerous security notifications that, once clicked, start up an XPdefender scan. The reports of this scan tend to be exaggerated and false, with their purpose being to harass XPdefender's victims into purchasing its full version. Stay away from this program, and if you have been infected, remove XPdefender immediately.
