AdwarePatrol is developed by AdwarePatrol.com and can be purchased on the same-named web site. The official domain do not contain privacy policy, detailed program description or company contact information.
We have tested free version of AdwarePatrol on clean uninfected system. The application has found 5 registry entries related to browser hijackers, whole cookie directory and a cookie file (see screenshot below). All found registry entries contained default settings of Microsoft Internet Explorer, which were absolutely safe. All cookies on our test system were related to legitimate Internet resources and did not possess any threat. These facts prove that AdwarePatrol uses false positives. Free version of AdwarePatrol cannot remove any found parasites. It asks to purchase full version, which can remove critical objects. AdwarePatrol is the same application as AlertSpy. Their interface, produced scan results, even installed files are exactly the same. The only difference is program's name. We DO NOT recommend AdwarePatrol. AdwarePatrol download:NOT RECOMMENDED
