We have tested the free version of AntiSpyAdvanced on clean uninfected computer. The application identified 8 malicious registry entries related to browser hijackers and two harmful directories with web browser cookies. See a screenshot provided below.
Further analysis revealed that neither of those registry entries were actually malicious. Each of them contained default and absolutely safe settings of the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser. All cookies in our test system were associated with legitimate Internet resources, and therefore did not pose any security or privacy risks.
Facts provided above prove that AntiSpyAdvanced uses false positives as goad to purchase.
The program’s free version refuses to remove any malware it finds. It asks to register and purchase the full version.
AntiSpyAdvanced is the same application as AlertSpy, AdwarePatrol, SpywareRemoval, Doctor Adware and others. All these programs share the same interface, spyware definitions database and produce identical scan results. Installed files are terribly similar.
The official web site is www.antispyadvanced.com.
