We have tested free demo version of BotSquash on clean system. The application has found 3 registry entries related to spyware. However, deep research showed that two suspicious entries actually were related to legitimate software (StyleXP visual style and theme tool and ArmorWall firewall). Third entry (SpyAssasin) also didn't possess any threat and was associated with other tested antispyware product. SpyAssasin program was never installed to the system. Screenshot provided below is a clear evidence that BotSquash uses false positives.
Real time system monitoring isn't effective. BotSquash was unable to detect the installation of Claria adware and its running process.
Scan report doesn't give enough information about discovered parasites. BotSquash doesn't provide full path to suspicious registry entries or detailed spyware description.
Free version refuses to remove any objects it found. It asks to purchase full version.
Official domain associated with BotSquash is botsquash.com.
