We have tested Easy Erase Spyware Remover on clean computer. Quick system scan and directory scans were performed. The application has detected 3 critical items related to adware. It didn't provide any details on found objects and their exact location. It also didn't remove them and continued to produce the same results in further scans. Easy Erase Spyware Remover uses false positives. See screenshots below.
Complete system scan doesn't work. It takes only few seconds and terminates immediately after checking only the floppy disk. Easy Spyware Remover doesn't provide updates and uses outdated reference database, released in June, 2004. Note that we have downloaded and tested the program in April, 2005. Screenshot is provided below. This antispyware is a simplified version of other products, such as The Web Shield, Spy-Kill and others. It uses different spyware definitions database, but has similar look and works in the very same manner. It also is a knockoff of legitimate Ad-Aware spyware remover.
