ETD Security Scanner

ETD Security Scanner, developed by Keenan Solutions, can be found on the official site etdscanner.com. Developers provide trial version with all functions available in full version. However, we DO NOT recommend purchasing and using ETD Security Scanner because of several negative facts about it.

Trial version was tested on clean uninfected system. Full system scan found 2 trojans, 4 adware programs, one dialer, one Internet worm and a browser hijacker. However, none of these parasites were installed to the system. Registry entries, related to NVIDIA graphics card drivers, Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer web browsers, Windows Update service were shown as unsafe. Moreover, the application reported that reputable and legitimate SpyHunter antispyware is harmful and should be removed (see screenshot below). These examples prove that ETD Security Scanner uses false positives and cannot be trusted.

Program's interface, settings, functions, spyware definitions database and scan results are the same as those found in other antispyware software, such as Ad-Where 2005 or AdDriller. All these programs are knockoffs of legitimate Ad-Aware application.
