MalWhere review

by Julie Splinters - - | Type: Corrupt Anti-Spyware

MalWhere is a free program, published by SoftBulldog.com. It consists from process viewer and killer. MalWhere cannot perform any scans for suspicious files, registry entries or directories. Its main task is to provide information about running processes and let the user to kill any of them. MalWhere doesn’t have common functions used to discover and remove critical objects from the system.

MalWhere is bundled with third party software. Tested version was bundled with WhenU adware, which consisted of WhenUSearch Toolbar and Clock-Sync time synchronizer (see screenshot below). Previous versions were bundled with more adware and spyware programs.

We have tested MalWhere on our computer. The appliation reported that process vvsn.exe, related to WhenU adware, is harmful and should be terminated (see another screenshot). This example clearly shows that MalWhere is bundled with parasites and cannot be trusted.

Domains associated with MalWhere are malwhere.com and softbulldog.com.

We recommend to avoid this program.
