SamuraiSpy uses false positives. We have tested it on clean uninfected system. The application has found the browser hijacker (Alexa Toolbar) and unknown worm. Further analysis showed that SamuraiSpy recognizes legitimate and safe Adobe Acrobat Reader as a worm. Objects related to Alexa Toolbar weren't found in the system. See screenshot below.
We have attempted to perform full system scan and check all files on local hard disks. However, SamuraiSpy has crashed and didn't complete its tasks. See another screenshot.
Free version refuses to remove any parasites it found. It asks to register and purchase full commercial version.
Program's interface is very similar to those found in several other antispyware products. The application uses the same spyware definitions database and produces similar scan results. It is a clone of MySpyFreePC, SpyBlocs and iSpyKiller.
