Spy-Ad Exterminator Pro consists of the spyware scanner, network security monitor and realtime monitor, which is able to detect suspicious cookies, registry entries and running processes. We have tested the program on clean system. Scanner has found 5 critical objects of high and medium danger level. All these objects were simple cookies associated with MSN portal and 4 files related to mIRC chat program. Found entries were safe and couldn't harm the system. Screenshot provided below proves that Spy-Ad Exterminator Pro uses false positives. We have installed Claria (also known as Gator or GAIN) spyware to the same system. Spy-Ad Exterminator Pro detected changes in the registry but didn't detect running process that belonged to installed spyware. Realtime monitor isn't 100 % effective.
