Spy-Kill uses ridiculous false positives. We have installed free version on absolutely clean PC and performed full system scan. Scan report contained 17 critical objects related to various adware and spyware programs, viruses, trojans and browser hijackers. Files associated with legitimate Maple and Mathcad mathematics software were recognized as viruses. PDFL50.dll, safe component of Adobe Photoshop was shown as a trojan. Files related to Spybot – Search & Destroy antispyware and Vim text editor also appeared in report. See screenshot below.
Free version doesn’t remove malware or repair infected files. Nevertheless, developers call it trial. The real trial should provide all the functions available in full version, but work only for certain period of time. Tested free version definitely wasn’t a trial.
Spy-Kill is the same program as AdDriller, AdwareX Eliminator, ETD Security Scanner and others. All these products use the same spyware definitions database and produce similar scan results. Their interfaces resemble the look of reputable Ad-Aware antispyware. Spy-Kill is a clone of other antispyware product and a knockoff of Ad-Aware.
The official site is spy-kill.com.
We DO NOT recommend purchasing or using Spy-Kill.
