Spyware Cleaner Prevention & Cure produces ridiculous false positives. The application was tested on absolutely clean uninfected computer, but it still managed to find 90 malicious files and 1 harmful registry key associated with a variety of spyware and adware parasites, dangerous viruses and other unsolicited programs including BonziBuddy, IMesh, Lop, eZula, Back Orifice, Huntbar, Win-Spy, etc. Needless to say that none of these pests were actually installed to our test system. Further analysis revealed that Spyware Cleaner Prevention & Cure detects harmless legitimate files including common text documents, shortcuts, web links and images as parasites. For instance, the website.url file related to the EULAlyzer tool was recognized as Download Accelerator Plus, common.dll related to Kaspersky Anti-Virus - as NetSecrets, debug.h included in Oracle database software - as the BackOrifice backdoor. Lists of file and registry traces are full of similar false results. See screenshots provided below.

The application uses fairly ineffective and very slow scan engine. Full system scan performed on a modern computer with an average disk space took more than 3 hours. Compare this to 10-15 minutes that most reputable spyware removers need. Quick system scan is really fast. It did not take more than 3 minutes.
