WorldAntiSpy reviewWorldAntiSpy is an easy-to-use and quite effective spyware remover with a real-time monitoring feature. It was used to scan several computers including already infected systems. The application detected installed parasites and passed our tests.The program thoroughly examines the Windows registry, running processes, cookies, files and folders. A user can perform quick, normal or deep scan, which is the most effective. WorldAntiSpy scan engine supports heuristics analysis. However, it checks only the main hard disk and therefore may be unable to detect parasites located elsewhere. The program uses regularly updated spyware definition database that currently contains almost 50,000 of spyware signatures. Unfortunately, WorldAntiSpy doesn't provide detailed information about detected threats, and displays only their name and exact location. WorldAntiSpy includes a real-time monitor that protects a computer and Internet Explorer web browser. It also has additional useful tools Running Processes, Browser objects, Browser modules and AutoRun. They allow to view active corresponding objects, disable or delete any of them. Program's interface is clean and convenient. Free version of WorldAntiSpy refuses to remove any malware it found and asks to register and purchase the full product. The program consumes too much computer resources. On our test systems it uses up to 50 MB of memory right after startup. Even a way more powerful Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta usually needs 30 MB. Furthermore, WorldAntiSpy have some stability problems. The application has crashed several times (take a look on a screenshot provided below). WorldAntiSpy is a new product. However, it already became infamous because of aggressive advertising and desktop hijack issuses related with its name. Some trojans and other parasites similar to DesktopHijack pest change default desktop wallpaper and display fake warning messages saying "Your computer is infected!". Both a wallpaper and messages have links leading to the official web site of WorldAntiSpy. Although we do not know who is responsible for these threats, we cannot recommend the spyware remover. You shouldn't purchase it unless a situation will turn out. The official web site is www.worldantispy.com. It lacks detailed information about the product. Orders are made using a secure connection. I wish to thank the guest posting the removal instructions regarding the desktop background hijack that the Teslaplus WorldAntispy software can cause. I was going nuts reading through all the other removal methods posted on other sites. I am glad I continued to search and located yours. Here is how to remove the desktop background hijack that the Teslaplus WorldAntispy software can cause:
1. From your desktop, click the Start button, then select "Control Panel"
2. Click the "Appearance and Themes" link
3. Click on "Change the Desktp background"
4. In the "Display properties" window, make sure that the tab that is selected is the "Display" tab. If not, click the "Display" tab to switch to it.
5. Click the "Customize Desktop" button
6. Click the "Web" tab
7. In the "Web Pages" box, highlight all entries that do not state "My Current Home Page" and select the Delete button.
8. Once you have only the "My Current Home Page" option, ensure that it does not have a checkmark in the box to the immediate left. If it does have a checkmark, click it to make the checkmark disappear.
9. Click the "OK" button.
Congratulation! Your desktop should no longer show the teslaplus.com web page.

I have a computer that Worldantispy corrupted and caused majpr problems. The link it put as the desktp was http://www.teslaplus.com. I would never use their software and they are an example of why we mayneed government regulation of the Internet.
