SafeFinder is a potentially unwanted program (PUP) developed by an infamous browser hijacker developer Linkury. It is a highly untrustworthy program that adds a browser extension and changes user's search engine to search.safefinder.com. This potentially unwanted program collects browsing-related data about the user, including one's IP address, search queries, clicks on ads and similar content. The suspicious developer of it shares collected data with third-parties (for example, advertising networks) to deliver even more ads to you (in the form of fake search results or pop-up ads).
It cannot even be compared to Reimage - it is a standalone computer repair software that fixes and optimizes computer. It also works as a spyware/malware removal tool. Programs like Reimage are designed to remove spyware like SafeFinder, not vice versa. Therefore, calling Reimage virus is completely wrong. It is a trustworthy computer repair tool that works best on Windows operating systems. On Mac, it mostly functions as an optimizer (at the moment).
