I will not be able to access my computer before Friday the 3rd, nor on Friday the 3rd, I will start it up on Sunday the 5th for the first time since I have heard about this Blackworm,, is there any way to avoid the worms efforts once I have started the system,, possibly by going into a safe mode, and accessing the downloaded software from a CD copy of the downloaded setup file,, any suggestions if this is not something workable

    thanks for the help

I do not no of any way that will help you avoid them. The only way i can think is to unplug the phone line from the back of the modem. also a site that will give you a scan to see if you have it is

srry if it did not help

wats that will help u to not be affected by it is to have updated anti-virus software, and to only allow admin. privilages to certain people. Other than that all you can really do is scan, try to remove, and just wait it out and hope your not affected
