What is kbd.exe? Should I remove it?

by Jake Doevan - -

kbd.exe is a legitimate process, which is also known as The Logitech Multimedia Keyboard Manager. This software is used to configure and manage Logitech keyboard keys that can help people enable Internet access, change the volume and perform similar tasks. If you don't want to disable these features on your keyboard, we don't recommend terminating kbd.exe. Just like any other .exe file, kbd.exe process is launched as soon as user reboots the computer and mostly works in system's background.

Scammers have started using names of legitimate files in order to hide their own viruses! According to security experts, kbd.exe name has already been 'borrowed' by Troj/Kango-D trojan orse, which is mostly used to give an attacker ability to connect to the system remotely and steal valuable data from it. If you think that your kdb.exe consumes too much PC's resources and initiates similar problems, you should check the trustworthiness of this file with a help of RegCure Pro or other reputable scanner.
