HijackThis Log Analyzer Beta 2 is here, up and running! It’s a big step forward from the first launch of this service in March, 2006.
What’s new in HijackThis Log Analyzer (HJTA)?
1. Less items marked as “Questionable”. Now HJTA recognizes the larger part of all legitimate and malicious processes, registry keys and related traces.
2. Fully legitimate registry keys and files such as notepad.exe are not marked as “Dangerous” by default. HJTA Beta 2 automatically determines whether an object, which name is used by both legitimate software and malware, is actually safe or not.
3. Item descriptions are more detailed and informative.
HijackThis Log Analyzer is still in beta stage, so it is natural that it doesn’t provide 100% reliable results. We are still working on this service to make it as much effective as possible.
You can help us to improve HijackThis Log Analyzer! If you have some information on unknown items, please share it with us and thousands of 2-Spyware.com visitors. We will carefully check your submission and approve it, if we will find it correct. You can also change status of entries that do not look identified correctly to you. Also, feel free to post your descriptions for existing items. We will review and add them to the Analyzer’s database.
