Active Antivir. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

removal by Alice Woods - -   Also known as ActiveAntivir | Type: Rogue Antispyware

Active Antivir is yet another rogue anti-spyware application that intentionally displays false scan results and bogus security alerts in order to convince you that your computer is infected with dangerous parasites. Most of the time, this program claims that your PC is infected with spyware, adware and Trojans.

Usually, Active Antivir is advertised through the use of Trojans, fake video codecs and other malware. It is also promoted on various malicious websites that provide free online malware scanners. This program can be manually downloaded and installed form its homepage. However, this is less common situation. Very often, Trojans display fake security alerts form Wndows taskbar stating that your computer is infected and that your personal information is in danger. This is the most commonly used method to scare users into thinking that their computers are compromised.

Once installed, ActiveAntivir will ostensibly scan your computer. After the fake scan, it will list numerous infections. These infections, though, are all fake. What is more, Active Antivir will flood your computer with very annoying and dangerous security alerts. Usually, these alerts state that your PC can be easily accessed from other hosts and suggest you to purchase ActiveAntivir in order to activate real-time protection. However, these alerts are fake as well.

It should be already obvious that this program is a scam. Don’t buy it for any reason. Instead, please use the removal guide below to remove Active Antivir and any related malware for free.
