What is MediaPlay+vid1.1?

Even though MediaPlay+vid1.1 may seem as a legitimate application, you have to beware that it's just another adware that may cause various computer-related issues. It seems that this application is working for third parties and is used for increasing the rank of their websites, generating income for them via pay-per-click revenue and implementing other activities for monetization purposes. MediaPlay+vid1.1 may get inside your computer along with other freewares and commonly does that without being noticed. As soon as it gets inside, it hijacks all most popular web browsers (IE, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) and starts tracking the user. On the one hand, such activity does not pose harm since personally identifiable information is not collected. On the other hand, you should beware that adware-type programs can easily be exploited by cyber criminals and used for stealing personal information. In addition to that, we highly recommend you to avoid clicking on 'Ads by MediaPlay+vid1.1' since they may be linked to suspicious third-party websites and reroute you there whether you want that or not. In the worst case scenario, clicking on one of the commercial advertisements may cause MediaPlay+vid1.1 redirects to a corrupted website and trick you into installing a suspicious program on your computer. Finally, this adware is also capable of delivering fake update alerts that may offer you to install Java, Flash Player, Media Player or any other popular software update. No matter how reliable they may seem, beware that they are fake and may eb used for spreading other potentially unwanted programs. Thus, we recommend you to scan tour computer with a reputable anti-spyware, such as Reimage as soon as you start receiving MediaPlay+vid1.1 ads and eliminate this adware from your PC fully.

How can MediaPlay+vid1.1 hijack my computer?

MediaPlay+vid1.1 may get inside your computer without asking for your permission directly. Consequently, you may notice that your computer works in an unusual manner, start receiving tons of commercial advertisements and experience redirects to unknown domains out of nowhere. Due to this fact, many users consider MediaPlay+vid1.1 adware to be a virus. Fortunately, it's not a malicious program, but rather a potentially unwanted program that is mainly used for affiliate marketing and is set to implement suspicious activities. If you are one of those people who do not know where this program came from, then there is no doubt that you've been tricked into downloading a bundled installer. You should remember what freeware you have recently installed because such and similar ad-supported extensions are, usually, traveling bundled with other free software. Such distribution is called 'bundling' and may be often misused by hackers. Therefore, you should be careful when installing freewares and avoid installing bundles. Whenever you are about to install a freeware, select Advanced or Custom installation option, check every notification and deselect all additional components that are attached to the freeware that you have selected. If MediaPlay+vid1.1 virus has already infiltrated your computer, you should check Add/Remove programs list, find suspicious programs that have been recently installed and eliminate the suspicious ones.
