Questions about Broadband-search.com

This homepage has arisen because of the Broadband-search.com program, which is labeled as a browser hijacker, and is spread via bundling method – it means that this program may be attached to any freeware or shareware. In most cases, you are not going to be clearly notified about such attachments – this is why you have to do the security check yourself. To check if the software you have downloaded doesn‘t include any surprises, you have to install it carefully. Investigate every step of the installation and make sure you read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy documents – they can reveal much useful information about the program, its aims and also its liabilities. Next, look for optional downloads – you can see if there are any attachments by choosing ”advanced” or ”custom” option. The configuration window will expand, and if you see any statements that claim that you agree with optional downloads, untick the boxes near them. If you want to make sure that such potentially unwanted programs will not sneak into your system in the future, we recommend installing a reliable anti-malware, for example, Reimage.

Broadband-search.com

What is the aim of Broadband-search.com?

This potentially unwanted program targets to advertise its sponsors. Once it enters your system, it will extract its components and attach browser extensions to all of your Internet browsers(Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer). These extensions will alter your browser‘s settings – your default homepage address will be replaced it with Broadband-search.com. As people tend to unconsciously use any search engine without realizing that it may be not a reliable one, most likely they will use their new homepage to find something. However, we do not recommend doing so.
Firstly, you are going to receive altered search results. That means that some of the results shown to you may contain hyperlinks to questionable websites, and you may experience Broadband-search.com redirects if you click on such search result. This is why so many PC users complain about this search engine – because it shows inaccurate search results and redirects PC users‘ to third-party websites. If you have clicked on such unreliable search result, and you have ended up on a suspicious site, you should be super cautious. Do NOT agree with any suggestions to install free software – one click on an unreliable link may result in an execution of a potential computer threat. We strongly recommend removing this useless an untrustworthy search engine from your system and using a well-known search engine instead, f.e., Google.
