What is Clearviruserror.net?

Clearviruserror.net is an advertising platform that is used for generating misleading pop-ups during people’s browsing. The random pop-ups generated by this domain is a result of an adware-type program. Therefore, Clearviruserror.net pop-up ads within Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari web browsers are a consequence of an adware that has been misused by some cyber criminals who seek to scare people into thinking that there are some serious issues on their computers and make them call for “technical support.” Most probably you have encountered with this adware during the installation of another freeware (download manager, media player, PDF creator, etc.) that has been carrying ‘optional downloads’, and , obviously, you have agreed to install the whole bundle. So, try to remember what kind of freeware you have recently installed and make sure that you get rid of it since it collaborates with suspicious third-parties and is not recommended using.

Speaking about Clearviruserror.net ads, their sole purpose is to make people believe that their computers are infected with malware, Trojan, virus, or another dangerous computer infection and stimulate them to call the ‘toll free support’ number and ask the help of ‘professional technicians.’ However, no one actually mentions that the service costs $199 and that the only thing that those ‘professional technicians’ do is they stop Clearviruserror.net pop-ups from appearing. So it means that the adware that causes ads stays active on the machine and may further initiate doubtful activities. According to security experts, Clearviruserror.net-related adware may later start displaying fake software update alerts (Java, Flash Player, Media Player, etc.) that disguise other adwares and make people install them unconsciously. Thus, if you have started experiencing Clearviruserror.net redirects, pop-ups, website freezes and similar issues, do not rush to call the provided number because it’s nothing else than a support scam used to swindle your money. The best that you can to is to check your computer with Reimage or another reliable anti-spyware and remove all potentially unwanted programs from the system.

How can Clearviruserror.net hijack my computer?

Clearviruserror.net virus typically starts showing signs within web browsers immediately after the user finishes the installation of a freeware that has been bundled with the pop-up provocative adware. The displayed pop-ups can make you feel tempted to throw your PC out the window as they tend to show up unexpectedly and free the browser. The only way to close it is to terminate the entire browser’s session, so it goes without saying that it’s very disruptive. If you want to prevent such ads from appearing on your screen, you should start checking what ‘additional components’ the freewares you are going to install are carrying. For that, you have to select Advanced/Custom installation option and monitor each installation step carefully. Finally, your task is to find check marks that have already been checked for you and carefully read what they are saying. If they state that you agree to install XXX, deselect them without any hesitation.
