Remove Coupondo ads (Free Guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Adware

Have you ever experienced a pop-up attack? If you did, you probably know what it means. You probably also imagine how intrusive they are and how hard it is to close them all. Today we want to enlighten our subscribers about Coupondo ads, which are generated by Coupondo program. Also, if you have recently received some pop-up ads by Coupondo that can be also labeled as “Coupondo ads” or “Brought To You By Coupondo,” you might find this report useful.

What is Coupondo and what is the function of this program?

Coupondo is a Russian adware program. The program presents itself as an excellent tool that can be used while shopping online, as it provides various offers from online stores. It claims that it can provide various discount codes, coupons, price comparisons and great deals whenever you browse through shopping-related websites. Unfortunately, none of these promises are realistic. It is not worth to believe what this program promises because the only aim of it is to advertise companies that sponsor Coupondo. Such companies are usually third-parties, so you should not rely on their promises and the offers they provide. Thus, you should not click on any ad by Coupondo. If this adware has infected your computer already, you are going to see its advertisements whenever you use your web browser – whether it is Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. It does not matter which web browser do you have on your system – this adware is going to affect each of them.

Questions about Coupondo ads

Once it hijacks your web browsers, it gets hold of the information about victim’s browsing manners. It is going to record victim’s used search keywords, URLs of the websites that he visits, bookmarks that he saves and it is also going to save user’s IP address to its server. Based on such information, Coupondo adware generates targeted ads for its victim and starts displaying them regularly. You should take note that these ads can contain hyperlinks, which can lead to unsafe sources. Our research team has investigated Coupondo redirects, and we have found out that this adware can redirect you to websites that promote unreliable offers ranged from fake shopping deals to suspicious surveys and offers to install questionable freeware. Be careful and do not install anything on your computer, because software provided by unreliable websites can be infectious. Also, never reveal your personal information and especially credit card information for such sites. Security experts recommend installing an anti-malware software instead. It can help to prevent stealthy infiltration of PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) and secure your PC’s system. We recommend using Reimage for that.

Coupondo can hijack your computer without your permission. How?

Coupondo is mostly spread via bundling technique, which means that this PUP travels together with free and legitimate programs as an attachment. Please remember this important information: you should ALWAYS be very careful when installing any software on your computer. You should be extra careful if you install a free program – it can contain such additional applications like Coupondo. Such adware programs display intrusive ads, slow down victim’s PC and collect some non-personal information about the victim, and we doubt that you want to experience such arbitrary activities of Coupondo on your computer. To avoid various interferences and to ensure your computer’s stability, always check the installation settings of every program that you plan to install on your PC. Opt out the “default/basic/standard” installation modes and opt for “advanced/custom” ones. Then the setup window expands, and you become able to reject unwanted applications by unticking the agreements to install them. They are going to be listed for you on the same installation settings window. Then you can finish the installation process.

Does not have any useful features at all. Displays fraudful ads and annoying pop-ups. I just cannot stand pop-ups because they block my way to access my windows screen freely! I have to stop whatever I am doing and start closing these ads. I am lucky that I managed to remove this parasite by myself. *feeling proud* haha!!
