What is Cryptographic Locker?

Cryptographic Locker virus is a newest version of cyber threats that are assigned to ‘ransomwares’. These threats are extremely dangerous because they are capable of hijacking computers and then encrypting specific files after scanning the system. In addition, Cryptographic Locker virus starts showing a huge notification that asks a victim to pay a ransom for decrypting those files. Unfortunately, many PC users have already been convinced to pay 0.2 BTC, what is about $100 USD, for getting a special decryption key because there is no other way to get it. That’s why you should always think about the prevention of such viruses. If you want to protect your photos, music or any other files, you should make their copies and start storing them in external hard drives, CDs, DVDs, or simply rely on online backups, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Flickr and other solutions. Of course, you should remove Cryptographic Locker ransomware form your computer right after it starts showing its warning message. The most interesting thing is that this virus also alters Windows desktop background by adding its own wallpaper that uses CryptoLocker name in it.
