Federal Computer Crime Unit virus is a Belgian ransomware threat, so we highly recommend people who live in this region not making any deals with this application. Basically, Federal Computer Crime Unit virus belongs to Ukash group of threats, that all use local victim’s language, pretend to be connected with official authorities and subsequently report about various law violations to make users decide to pay the fine. However, the most annoying thing about this Belgian scam is that it locks the entire system and blocks its victim. As soon as user becomes concerned about his illegal activity on the PC, Federal Computer Crime Unit virus asks to pay the fine of 100 euros using one of prepayment systems, which is called Ukash. We must add that some users have also warned us about the Dutch version of Federal Computer Crime Unit virus, which acts almost identically. Please, ignore this scam if it gets on your computer and remove Federal Computer Crime Unit virus as soon as possible.

Mostly, Federal Computer Crime Unit virus appears on your system unexpectedly and without being invited. It simply hides inside spam e-mails, on malicious or hacked websites, peer-to-peer networks and other places that look safe but have been infected by trojan virus. Once it overcomes computer’s security barriers, it locks the system down and eventually shows up for the user with its malicious alert, which is titled “Activite illicite demelee!”.
