What is Fixsoftwarevirus.net?

Fixsoftwarevirus.net pop-ups that are rather tricky to make you spend a considerable amount of money. Don’t get us wrong because we’re not saying that those pop-ups are related to malware or virus. The pop-ups from this domain are generated by an adware-type program, so the first thing that you should do once Fixsoftwarevirus.net pop-ups show up during your browsing is to check if there are no suspicious processes (.exe) running in the background of the system. If you find any, you should terminate it and run a full system scan with a reliable anti-spyware in order to remove all potentially unwanted programs (PUPs).

Another noteworthy fact is related to the content of Fixsoftwarevirus.net ads. Those ads usually show up within Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and less popular browsers. Typically they show warnings that your computer is seriously affected by a virus, malware, Trojan, etc. and that the infection is preventing the user from surfing the net further. To intensify the message, Fixsoftwarevirus.net pop-ups cannot be opened and the user is allowed neither to open new tabs nor close the browser (except terminate the entire process via Task Manager). Do not get fooled by those pop-ups because it’s just a scam. The message may offer you to order the remove technical support service by calling a provided number. Beware of this message and DO NOT call for the technical support because it’s just a scam that will overcharge your telephone bill $199. Even more, if you rely on the supposed professional technicians and reveal other sensitive data, such as full name, email address, location, etc. you may also get tricked in the future. Thus, calling for that service is a direct communication with scammers and giving away your money to them for nothing. Although victims often think that technical support has helped them to fix the machine, in reality it’s not true. Those scammers only deactivate Fixsoftwarevirus.net pop-up virus on that specific IP, but the adware that causes it stays and may try further display commercial ads, track the user, and initiate other doubtful activities. Thus, if you receive those doubtful warning messages, you should better check your computer with Reimage or another reputable anti-spyware and it will certainly show what kind of threats are hiding in your machine and we are pretty sure that it will be a Fixsoftwarevirus.net-related adware primarily.
