fTalk is a program, which can also be presented as a free Facebook chat client helping to improve chat on this social network. It offers various emoticons, status updates, chat windows and similar services. This freeware is not related to malware, however, it has been reported to initiate redirections to adoresearch.com and search-results.com websites, initiate unwanted Searchqu installation, change user's homepage settings and do other unwanted activities. The main problem is that fTalk is reported to come inside computer without any user's permission asked. If you haven't installed it by yourself, you should remove fTalk from your computer.
HOW DOES FTALK GET INSIDE THE COMPUTER?
Such applications as fTalk can be easily downloaded manually from its official websites. However, you can also find it on your computer out of nowhere. That means that you have installed a freeware, which had fTalk included to its components. In order to avoid such 'surprises', we always recommend checking every step and every installation window. Once it is downloaded, you may find unwanted changes, like adoresearch.com as your homepage, Searchqu as your Toolbar and similar. Please, do NOT ignore them! You should remove fTalk from your computer if you haven't installed it by yourself.
HOW CAN I REMOVE FTALK?
In order to uninstall fTalk, you have to uninstall it from your computer first of all: Click 'Start' ->'Control Panel' or 'Uninstall a Program' -> Double-click 'Add/Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features'. Find all fTalk and related programs, and click 'Uninstal' or 'Remove'.
Additionally, you may need to repair your search egine:
Open Google Chrome -> click Wrench Icon -> Settings -> Manage Search Engines -> Remove unnecessary Search Engines from the list and make a certain search engine as default search engine.
Open Mozilla Firefox -> go Tools -> Magnify Glass or Arrow icon -> Manage Search Engines -> Remove unnecessary Search Engines from the list, make Google or other search engine as your default.
Open IE -> go Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Search Providers -> Remove unnecessary Search Engines and make a certain engine as default.
Finally, scan your computer with a reputable anti-malware to make sure that your computer os free of viruses. We recommend using Reimage.
