HDD Control. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

HDD Control is a rogue computer optimization program that pretends to scan your hard drive and registry for errors. After the fake scan it states that your computer has serious problems and prompts you to pay for a full version of the program to fix those problems. Of course, it won’t fix anything even if you purchase it because HDD Control is a scam. This scareware comes from misleading or infected websites. It pretends to be a useful program or an update. HDDControl is also promoted via trojans and other malicious software. Once installed, this rogue program will be configured to run each time you log on to Windows. It will pop up and start to scan your computer without your permission. It may change your Desktop wallpaper to black and hide your Windows taskbar.

HDD Control will report numerous hard drive and registry errors. It will state that about 30% of your hard drive is unreadable or that hard drive doesn’t respond to system commands. The rogue program will state that your hard drive is missing too. Some examples of the fake problems it detects on your computer are:

Requested registry access is not allowed. Registry defragmentation required
Read time of hard drive clusters less than 500 ms
32% of HDD space is unreadable
Bad sectors on hard drive or damaged file allocation table
GPU RAM temperature is critically high. Urgent RAM memory optimization is required to prevent system crash
Drive C initializing error
Ram Temperature is 83 C. Optimization is required for normal operation.
Hard drive doesn’t respond to system commands

While HDD Control is running it will also display fake alerts from your Windows taskbar. The text of some of the alerts you may see include:

Critical Error
Hard Drive not found. Missing hard drive.

Critical Error
RAM memory usage is critically high. RAM memory failure.

Critical Error
Windows can’t find hard disk space. Hard drive error

Critical Error!
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file System32496A8300. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware.

As you can see, HDD Control is nothing more but a scam. If your computer is already infected with this bogus program then please use the removal instructions below. You can remove it either manually or with an automatic removal tool.
