How helpme@freespeechmail.org virus encrypts data?

Security vendors have already encountered tens of cyber threats that contribute to the ransomware category. Usually, they render sophisticated encryption mechanisms, inform about particular payment models, look quite sophisticated and scare victims immediately. Regarding helpme@freespeechmail.org ransomware, the encryption of files and the decryption model seems to be repetitive and not innovative in any way.

Once the trojan carrying the ransomware is executed, helpme@freespeechmail.org roots deeply into the operating system and starts looking for file types that it is set to encrypt. There is no doubt that it damaged .doc, .txt, .jpg, .png, .docx, .odt, .pps, .ppt, .wav, .avi, .flv, and several other file types. All the encrypted files are appended with the helpme@freespeechmail.org suffix. Thus, if for example, this ransomware would decrypt your file document named as BachelorThesis.doc, then its encrypted version would appear as BachelorThesis.doc.id-(10 random numbers)_ helpme@freespeechmail.org. Each victim receives a unique ID number, so those 10 random numbers will be different for each person. Besides, this infection adds “VIRUSFUCKEDYOURFILES”.txt file in every folder that contains corrupted data, hijacks the screen, and sets the instructions for the file decryption as a wallpaper. The victim is asked to pay 3 BTC (approximately $400) within 48 hours. To find out all the payment details, the user of a contaminated computer has to contact the helping@openmailbox.org email and wait for the response. Cyber frauds typically provide the victim with one decrypted file as if to assurance that the payment will help to decrypt documents, photos, videos, and other personal data. Such and similar ransomware are very malicious and can lead to the loss of all personal data stored on the computer, so if you want to prevent such threats on your PC, ensure the security and rigidity of the system. For that, we would recommend installing Reimage and keeping it up-to-date.

Please tell me its possible to restore files encrypted by helpme@freespeechmail.org ransonmware!! a couple of hours ago, my brother sneakily opened my email and was looking for something compromising, as I suppose. Unfortunately, it found nothing but a ransomware injected in a spam. Now i cant open photos, word documents, music files, videos and other data. The email said I havent paid the credit. The sender my bank. I dont understand how hackers manage to trick people and who provides them with personal information!!!

  • MaryJs

Im not going to pay $400 for frauds!!! Those bastard have no conscience! I dont know how i got infected, but apparently i got and now all my data is lost!!

  • Fluffy Unicorn

MaryJs, stop panicking!! Have you read this post? Its possible to restore the files that helpme@freespeechmail.org encrypts without paying the ransom. Download RakhniDecryptor and wait till it performs decryption. The only thing that you have to pay is a license for SpyHunter or another anti-malware that could remove helpme@freespeechmail.org ransomware. But it will certainly not cost $400.

Got infected too. I assume that Ive clicked on the wrong link since i did not receive spam or at least i did not recognise it as spam. deleted helpme@freespeechmail.org virus with SpyHunter. Luckily, i have all the backups, so i did not need to use file decryption software and worry about my data. Good luck those dealing with helpme@freespeechmail.org and similar ransomwares.
