HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 virus. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - -   Also known as Ads by HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12, HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 adware | Type: Adware

What is HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12?

HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 is an adware program that is sponsored by third parties and seeks to promote their websites. The problem is that people increasingly complain about questionable programs that this browser add-on is trying to promote. As a consequence, it may redirect users to the websites that are managed by cyber criminals and may be filled with suspicious installers, links, fake popups and other content that may lead to malware, virus or a potentially unwanted program infection. In fact, HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 is similar to HQ-Video-Pro-1.9. The only difference between these programs is their name. They both are listed as adwares and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). Besides, both of them are known for delivering users an excessive amount of commercial advertisements, data collection, slow downs and other suspicious activities. Such and similar programs are used in order to earn the money from affiliate marketing. For example, when you click on one of the HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 ads, third parties earn the money. The same is when HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 redirects force you to visit certain websites – third parties this way increase their page rank, or if you even decide to purchase there, they increase sales. That's simple. Unfortunately, no one guarantees that these websites are safe. Therefore, you risk visiting malicious websites and infecting your computer. Besides, in order to improve affiliate marketing and tricking you into clicking on those pop-up ads, this plug-in is set to investigate your online preferences and collect non-personal information about your online activities. It's not dangerous, we may say. But keep in mind that adwares are extremely vulnerable to cyber criminals who may get inside your computer via this add-on and try to steal sensitive data. Prevent that in advance and install a reputable anti-spyware, such as Reimage that will block its infiltration. In case it has already infected your system, it will easily remove it.

How can HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 hijack my computer?

HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 is a suspicious browser add-on that may infiltrate random computers right after installing another freeware. That's because its developers rely on 'bundling' distribution method, which allows integrating third party advertisements into popular free software and spreading them in one pack. For this ability, third parties pay money for freeware creators. Then it goes without saying why there are so many bundled installers nowadays on every download website. Fortunately, users are able to install their selected freeware without additional components. For that, they only need to spend a couple of minutes longer on its installation process. First of all, it is recommended reading Terms and Agreements and Privacy Policy sections of your preferred program. Later, you should select Advanced or Custom installation option and monitor the entire process. Finally, opt out of the check boxes that promote unfamiliar programs, such as HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 or other web browser add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars or extensions. If you have experiencing HQ-Video-Pro-2.1cV02.12 redirects on a daily basis, don't ignore this anymore and get rid of this adware right away.
