Lollipop. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Adware

Lollipop is an advertisement distribution platform, which can also be categorized as adware. The main reason, why security experts discuss about the removal of this application, is its distribution method – in most of occasions this program tends to rely on freeware and shareware when it seeks to infiltrate the system. Typically, users download it as an 'optional download' and starts receiving different kinds of pop-up ads immediately after that. If you receive pop-up notifications from Lollipop, you should ignore them and never click on the links, that are also included, because you may be made to visit malicious website. If you haven't downloaded Lollipop in a traditional way, you should remove this application from your computer.

As we have already mentioned, Lollipop is promoted via freeware and shareware as an additional download. According to some experts, it may be spread by Savings Hero, Delta Search, Yontoo, Babylon Toolbar or other potentially-malicious software. You should be capable to prevent its infiltration by monitoring each of the installation windows and not giving your confirmation when it shows up. However, Lollipop can also hide from you and do NOT show up on the installation screens. If you want to avoid its pop-up ads, you have to stay away from Lollipop. Please, remove this application if you didn't download it in a traditional way.

Typically, Lollipop is spread in a bundle with freeware and shareware. If it infiltrated your machine, start its removal by eliminating it from Add/Remove Programs list. For that, click 'Start menu' -> 'Control Panel' -> 'Uninstall a Program' or 'Add/Remove Programs' and choose 'Uninstall' button when you see Lollipop's entry.

Additionally, run a full system scan with reputable anti-spyware and make sure that your PC is free of malicious entries. For that, we recommend using either Plumbytes Anti-MalwareWebroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus or Reimage.
