Mysearchmarket.com virus. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

removal by Julie Splinters - - | Type: Browser hijacker

Mysearchmarket.com browser hijacker is a potentially unwanted program (PUP). If you are wondering why it is classified this way, you should read this report on Mysearchmarket.com that we have prepared and find out more information about this dubious website. You are probably reading this article because you have noticed this website on your browser’s homepage – it could have happened if your computer was affected by Mysearchmarket.com hijacker.

How could Mysearchmarket.com hijack my computer?

Mysearchmarket.com provides a short guide how to set it as your browser’s homepage on its official website, but most likely you are not going to end up on this site while browsing the Internet. Mysearchmarket.com PUP can enter your system and set itself as your browser’s homepage in an indirect way. It can happen if you install downloaded applications using the Default, Basic, or Standard installation settings. Be very careful and avoid installing programs using these settings – because they often conceal agreements to install additional applications like adware, browser hijackers or other potentially unwanted programs. In most cases, such programs are presented as ”advantageous browser extensions” or useful apps. Do not believe such promises – refuse to install these misleading applications by selecting ”Advanced” or ”Custom” installation mode and configuring the suggested components. If you think that you have installed some suspicious programs recently by carelessly installing several programs, we suggest checking your system with an anti-malware software, for example, Reimage.

What possible dangers can Mysearchmarket.com hijacker cause on my computer?

Once this PC intruder infiltrates a computer system, it places its files in the Windows Registry and attaches its components to each of your web browsers. Then it might start to track your browsing activity. It is a shocking fact, right? That is what this program does, and no one knows if it does not use information about your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, search queries, IP address, and other related data for some questionable purposes. Although all this information is considered to be personally non-identifiable, it might contain details about you and reveal your identity anyways.
