Even though Onlineantivirus.net pop-up ads may warn you that your PC is infected or that you are at the risk of being scammed, don’t get fooled immediately. These notifications are fake, and the main reason people see them is ‘adware’ infection. It goes without saying that cyber frauds have invented this message not just simply make people irritated or disrupted during browsing. Onlineantivirus.net pop-up ads are beyond that. This pop-up is just another online scam that can cause the loss of up to $199.

How does Onlineantivirus.net pop-up virus work?

  • Onlineantivirus.net is directly related to the adware-type program. In other words, the code of this rogue alert is embedded into an adware. That may be LaSuperba, Sonic Train, PennyBee or another adware that is sponsored by suspicious parties. Therefore, web browsers start displaying misleading ads once the adware is installed and the Onlineantivirus.net alerts are activated.

Onlineantivirus.net ads

  • The message typically says that critical security errors have been found on your Windows system and that you have to contact with professional Windows technicians by calling for a particular number. Such a message may show up randomly from time to time, and there is no difference what kind of website is being viewed. Also, their design and the overall appearance seems very professional, so it’s easy to fall into believing in them.
  • No matter that your PC may work abnormally, and you may even consider it to have some significant errors, we would highly recommend scanning it with Reimage and checking for virus/malware first. In this particular case, you will be informed about Onlineantivirus.net adware infection. If you decide to call for the given number, you may be tricked into paying a big sum of money (up to $199) for a remote support service. Thus, even though the call is supposed to be free, you may receive a significantly increased telephone bill the next month.
  • As we have already mentioned, Onlineantivirus.net virus is closely related to the adware-type program. It means that the pop-up may be just a part of the programs on the system. Adware can diminish web browser’s performance, corrupt various settings and even spy on you. Onlineantivirus.net-related adware can track your IP address, PC’s location, email address, search queries, pages viewed, clicks, and similar information. Therefore, if you want to stop Onlineantivirus.net redirects, ads, slowdowns, and similar activities, you have to remove an adware that causes them. If you want to find out how to remove Onlineantivirus.net virus, go to the next page.

When do Onlineantivirus.net popups usually emerge?

Onlineantivirus.net virus is caused by adware that is also known as a PUP (potentially unwanted program). Security experts warn that it is spread bundled with free software. In most people start receiving Ads by Onlineantivirus.net after downloading quite popular programs from peer-to-peer and file-sharing sites like Cnet, Softonic, Cnet, Download, and so on.

If you are a security-minded person that always seeks to maintain PC’s stability and protect one’s privacy, you should ensure a proper PC’s security. For that, you have to install a reliable anti-spyware and keep it up-to-date. On top of that, you should also stop thinking that to install a freeware it’s enough to click the ‘Next’ button all the time. Instead of that, you should render Advanced/Custom installation option, read information on each check box and them unmark unfamiliar attachments (plug-ins, toolbars, extensions, etc.).

Is it possible to get rid of this advertising platform manually?

Onlineantivirus.net virus is powered by an adware-type program. Thus, to stop seeing misleading advertisements you have to remove it. When we speak about adware and other potentially unwanted programs, then manual removal is always possible. However, in this particular case, you may face some difficulties. For Onlineantivirus.net removal, it’s a must to know which adware causes it. Besides, to remove it permanently, it’s vital to find all supporting components, including other PUPs. Therefore, if you want to save your precious time and avoid removing the wrong programs, we highly recommend you to use a trustworthy anti-spyware.
