Information about Onlinebuscador.com hijacker:

Onlinebuscador.com is a browser hijacker. Moreover, it is a potentially unwanted program (PUP). If this questionable application succeeds to enter your computer, it immediately starts to initiate some doubtful activities. Upon its arrival, Onlinebuscador.com places its data on the Windows Registry and then it installs its components to your Internet browser. It does not matter if you use Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome – this rogue application can attach its components to all of them. As a result, it configures browser settings and sets Onlinebuscador.com site as your default search engine and also as your new default page. Onlinebuscador is a privately owned company based in ASIA and serving customers globally.”

As you can see, this suspicious company claims to be associated with web traffic generation and search engine marketing. Let us explain this line for you. Onlinebuscador.com is a website that promotes various web sources for a particular payment. Usually, Onlinebuscador.com collaborates with its partners via the pay-per-click advertising system – the more Internet users Onlinebuscador.com redirects to its sponsors’ websites, the more money Onlinebuscador earns. If you see that Onlinebuscador.com has replaced your homepage, you should remember that this search engine generates vague search results that can be combined with misleading hyperlinks, which can redirect the user to suspicious third-party websites.

We have analyzed thousands of situations related to browser hijackers, and we can firmly inform you that such suspicious redirects often lead PC users to dangerous websites, which may contain infected links to promote risky or even malicious content. We are not saying that Onlinebuscador.com redirects ALWAYS lead to suspicious websites; however, some of them can be actually corrupted. To avoid shocking consequences, we would like to recommend using a computer safety program like Reimage. It scans and investigates your computer system; also, it removes infectious files.
