What is Pcfixing4.info?

Pcfixing4.info is a pop-up virus that may put all effort to convince you that your computer is infected with a serious virus. Tens of computer users have already reported us about a misleading pop-up ad, which shows up during their browsing from time to time and appears to be stubborn in terms of closure. We have initiated a research related to Pcfixing4.info virus and found out that it’s directly dependent on an adware-type program. In other words, it has been found that a deceptive message is caused by an adware that supports all the most popular web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, and usually spreads bundled with other freewares. Unfortunately, it’s obvious that the adware has been misused by cyber criminals for their own purposes, i.e. to earn easy money from gullible people. They employ a deceptive message, which usually says:

Are you sure you want to leave this page?

Message from webpage:
There is a .net frame work file missing due to some harmful virus.
Debug malware error 895-system 32.exe failure:

If you have already received such a notification, there are no doubts that your computer has been affected by an adware, which needs to be removed in order to stop Pcfixing4.info ads from appearing. Be aware that the claim about a virus infection is bogus! It’s just a marketing trick that scammers use to make people call for invented technical support and pay $199 for a fake malware removal service. Thus, the presence of Pcfixing4.info-related adware may not only disrupt your browsing, but may even lure you into giving away your money to cyber criminals. In order to prevent that, as soon as you notice this dubious pop-up, update or install a reputable anti-malware, for example, Reimage (Windows OS) or Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus (Mac OS X), and get rid of this pop-up virus without any delay.

How can Pcfixing4.info hijack my computer?

Pcfixing4.info pop-up ads are irritating messages caused by an adware-type program. The program may also display fake update alerts (Java, Flash Player, Media Player, etc.), slow down your computer, track you, use data kept on your computer (search terms, websites visited, clicks, data entered in certain websites, IP address, PC’s location, etc.) for its own needs. If you want to prevent misleading Pcfixing4.info redirects and ads that can trick you into spending a considerable amount of money, we highly recommend you to start checking freewares before downloading them to your computer. Adware that is related to the pop-up tends to spread in one pack with such freewares as download managers, PDF creators, media players, and so on. Thus, whenever you decide to install a free software, especially from third-party download websites (e.g. softonic.com, soft32.com, cnet.com, download.com, etc.), you should opt for Advanced or Custom installation option and track the entire process little by little. If you notice an offer to install ‘recommended tools’, make sure that you deselect each of them.
