Do not fall for this trick because it's just a way to scare you and push into calling supposedly toll-free 'Security Support Help Line' that will supposedly help to fix your computer remotely. However, we believe, it will do nothing else but will stop Primtwv.com pop-up ads in order to convince that you PC has been unlocked. Unfortunately, after calling for this service you will have to pay $199 and we believe that you will regret calling that line. In addition to that, this misleading program may also track you silently and constantly transmit information about your browsing habits to third-party advertisers. It's not only annoying but may even end up with identity theft. Even though it may not necessarily happen, keep in mind that all adware-type programs can be easily exploited by cyber criminals, such as scammers or hackers who may try to steal sensitive information about you with the help of already existing cookies. By the way, Primtwv.com pop-up virus may also deliver alerts that inform people about missing updates. Since it is usually stated that Java, Flash Player, Media Player, web browsers other popular software, people often fall for 'updating' them clicking on Primtwv.com popups. Unfortunately, you have to keep in mind that they are not related to software updates in any way because their main purpose is to spread potentially unwanted programs, such as adwares and browser hijackers. Thus, if you have already noticed this adware on your computer and even clicked on its popups, we recommend you to scan your PC with a reputable anti-spyware, such as Reimage and eliminate all PUPs that may be hiding inside.

How can Primtwv.com hijack my computer?

Primtwv.com-related adware has been labeled as a potentially unwanted program due to the fact that it tends to spread along with various freewares and sharewares. Such distribution method is called 'bundling' and since it's legitimate, you have to be very careful during installation of free software. That's because it's very easy not to notice 'additional components', such as Primtwv.com virus, and install them inadvertently. As you probably already understand, additional programs that travel along with freewares are seldom reliable. In most of the cases, they appear to be misleading adwares and browser hijackers. To avoid installing them, you should remember that Quick or Basic installation method is not reliable and should never be selected because it may not disclose additional components and may install them by default. Instead of that, you should select Advanced or Custom installation option and carefully read ever notification. Look for check boxes that notify about installation of additional components, such as add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars, and extensions and opt out of them. In case you have already noticed pop-ups notifying about virus attack, you should ignore them and eliminate a suspicious program that causes such bogus ads to appear.
