removal by Jake Doevan - -   Also known as Protected Surf virus, Protected Surf ads | Type: Adware

Protected Surf is an application that you should avoid coming across with. This program promises such features as secure web surfing. Moreover, this program should block malicious websites and protect your computer. Although that sounds great, it is just another deceptive marketing trick in order for you to download Protected Surf adware. If you read privacy policy section of this dubious application, you may notice a couple of odd statements about private data, third-party advertising, links to sponsored websites and tracking cookies. So, if you do not want to suffer from Protected Surf redirects, we strongly recommend not to install this dubious extension. Internet is filled with similar applications that are promoted exactly the same, such as BrowserKeeper, Shieldren, BlockAndSurf, and much more. Unfortunately, we can not say a single good thing about these programs.

How can Protected Surf hijack my computer?

Protected Surf virus is usually distributed as an additional attachment together with various freewares. However, you can easily download this ad-supported application directly. Moreover, get yourself a reliable security tool that protects your computer day and night.
