(10/100) How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

removal by Gabriel E. Hall - -   Also known as redirect | Type: Browser hijacker is an untrustworthy search engine, which is typically spread in a bundle with freeware and shareware. If you are interested in computers and their security, you must have heard about this distribution method and how popular it has become. As soon as enters computer, it replaces start page and default search engine. The most of PC users ignore such changes and continue using such search engines. However, we don’t recommend that because this may increase the risk of malware. Remember, may be set to return altered search results, display misleading pop-up advertisements and may initiate other dangerous activities.

If you want to avoid, you have to remember that such search engines infiltrate computers in a bundle with freeware and shareware. They typically get inside systems as free additions, so you should always make sure that you are not installing two programs instead of one. For that, you should choose a Custom or Advanced installation process and find the check mark that says that you agree to install or make it your default search engine. Missing this check mark will result in continuous banner ads, pop-up notifications, in-text link advertisements and similar things that interrupt people’s browsing.

If you noticed that your start page or default search engine were changed to, you should waste no time and check your PC with anti-spyware. We recommend using Reimage or Malwarebytes MalwarebytesCombo Cleaner. Besides, follow these simple steps:

Remove from your browsers:

Internet Explorer:

Open Internet Explorer, go ‘Tools‘ -> ”Manage Add-ons’ -> ‘Toolbars and Extensions’. Here, look for and click 'uninstall'. Now open IE -> Tools -> Internet Option -> General tab. Enter Google or other address to make it the default start page.

Mozilla Firefox:

Open Mozilla Firefox, go ‘Tools’ -> ‘Add-ons’ -> ‘Extensions’. Find and click ‘Uninstall’. Now go to Tools -> Options -> General -> Startup. Now select 'Show a blank page' when Firefox Starts or set a certain website, like Google or similar.

Click the Chrome menu button on the Google Chrome browser, select Tools -> Extensions. Here, look for extension and get rid of it by clicking on the Recycle Bin. Additionally, click on wench icon, go to settings and choose 'Manage search engines'. Change search engine to google or other and delete from the list.
