REAnti is a misleading anti-spyware application distributed through the use of Trojans, fake online scanners, misleading websites and social engineering tricks. The rogue program is from the notorious WiniSoft family and does basically the same as its predecessors. REAnti reports false system security threats/infections and displays fake security alerts and notifications/warnings to make you think that your computer is infected with malicious software, for example: Trojans, worms, adware spyware and other. Then the rogue application asks to pay for a full version of the program to remove those supposed infections. Obviously, this is a scam, do not purchase this bogus software and uninstall REAnti from the system as soon as possible.

Most of the time, REAnti enters a computer with the help of Trojans that come from fake online scanners or other misleading websites. Trojans download rogue application and display fake security alerts. Trojans may also install additional malware on your computer. Once the rogue application is installed, it will simulate system scans and report fake infections to scare you into believing that your computer is compromised. To make things worse, it will constantly display fake security alerts claiming that your computer is under attack. If you install the rogue application in other language than English, the fake alerts will be shown in the selected language, for example in French [Figure 2]. It will even impersonate Windows Security Center and stat that you should activate REAnti to remove the infections and to ensure full system protection.
