SecureInstall. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)
What is SecureInstall?
SecureInstall is a browser add-on that may diminish your PC’s performance and help suspicious or even malicious programs to infiltrate your computer. In fact, it’s an adware or a potentially unwanted program (PUP), which, although harmless, may cause various inconveniences on target computer. If it manages to infiltrate the system, it hijacks all most popular web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, corrupts various settings, and may install cookies on each of them. Probably you already know that cookies are small files that are used for tracking people and collecting personally and non-personally identifiable information. Even though SecureInstall developers claim that this program is not set to collect sensitive information, you can never be sure about that. In order to prevent identity theft, we highly recommend you to remove SecureInstall virus (for that, try using Reimage) as soon as you start suspecting it to be hiding in your computer. In addition to that, you should remove this adware in order to stop commercial advertisements from appearing. This app may initiate pop-up ads marked as ‘Ads by SecureInstall’, ‘Powered by SecureInstall’, ‘Delivered by SecureInstall’, etc. during your browsing. However, you have to keep in mind that these advertisements are managed by third-party content, which means that SecureInstall LLC company does not check or monitor them. Therefore, you should not trust SecureInstall ads keeping in mind that they may be linked to suspicious or even malicious websites. If you want to prevent installing suspicious programs on your computer, you should prevent clicking commercial ads during your browsing and keep a reliable anti-spyware updated all the time.
How can SecureInstall hijack my computer?
SecureInstall is a typical adware that spreads using several unfair techniques. It’s known that PUPs are commonly distributed via fake update alerts, suspicious links, etc. However, in most of the cases, adware-type programs spread bundled with other freewares. For instance, while installing various download managers, PDF creators, media players, etc., you may fall for installing ‘optional downloads’ , such as Albrechto, Bonanza Deals, MagnumDouble, Extreme Blocker, Driver Assist, etc. unconsciously. Beware that ‘bundling’ is mainly employed for monetization purposes; therefore, it’s not surprising that it’s getting increasingly popular. In order to prevent installing ‘optional downloads’ alongside your selected freeware, you should avoid installing free programs recklessly. First of all, you should read EULA, Privacy Policy, and other accessible information in order to find out that there is nothing suspicious related to your selected program. After that, you should select Advanced or Custom installation option (avoid Quick or Basic) and carefully monitor the entire installation process. DO NOT skip a single detail because you may inadvertently miss ‘additional components’ (add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars, extensions) marked by default. Consequently, you may install an unwanted program on your PC and start experiencing SecureInstall redirects. To prevent that, be very careful and unmark check marks claiming that you agree to install additional programs.
