Silver. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Worms

Worm Silver (also known as SilverRat) is a dangerous parasite, which spreads by e-mail and via IRC channels. It installs itself to the system and sends its copies to other users using a mail client. It infects mIRC and pIRCh chat programs and allows the author to access an infected computer remotely. It also places infected files on shared disks of vulnerabe computers from the local network and terminates several antivirus and security-related programs’ processes. The worm deletes some antivirus programs’ files. The Silver is visible in the Control Panel, and can be ‘uninstalled’. However, such ‘uninstall’ will cause serious damage to the operating system, so the infected computer will fail on startup.
