Tika-search.com (also known as Tika Search) is a questionable search engine, which can also be labeled as a browser hijacker. In other words, this site can easily appear on each of your web browsers and may start initiating various unwanted activities. If Tika-search.com hijacks your browser, you may suffer from various redirects to unknown websites, annoying advertisements and popups. In most of the cases, it appears instead of the home page and default search engine and starts these unwanted activities everytime people start their browsing. As far as we know, this website may provide very doubtful search results that may be filled with tons of commercial links. It acts this way in order to make money from affiliate marketing. That is why you should be very careful with this doubtful search website and remove Tika-search.com virus as soon as it appears on each of your web browsers.

How can Tika-search.com hijack my computer?

Tika-search.com is spread using a very unfair distribution technique that is called bundling. Freewares are often filled with unwanted applications, so don't be surprised after discovering that your home page and default search engine were changed to Tika-search.com after installing a doubtful free program. We have noticed a related program, which is used to transmit Tika-search.com. That program is called Tika Toolbar. We highly recommend not to install it because it is yet another useless program that was developed for one purpose: making money from advertising. In order to avoid this and other hijackers, you should avoid free programs without checking them first. Read end-user license agreement section before any doubtful installation and avoid quick, basic or recommended installation option if you have even the slightest doubts about a program that you need. Also, don't rush the installation of the freeware and select only Advanced or Custom installation method that will help you to follow the entire installation progress.
