removal by Julie Splinters - - | Type: Browser hijacker

Why trendingbees.com is not a trustworthy search site?

If you ever come across the trendingbees.com virus, you should be aware that it is a potentially unwanted program and belongs to the category of browser hijacker viruses. So, even though the Internet may offer a variety of legitimate and useful search engines, Trendingbees is not the one you should trust. Unfortunately, users often feel tempted by this suspicious search site as it does look legitimate and offers handy features. The site displays Twitter, eBay, Amazon, Facebook, AOL quick access buttons which should supposedly improve the user’s browsing experience. If you tried searching on this site, though, you would find that the results are provided to you by another, well-known browser hijacker Safe Finder. This hijacker is known for modifying and present altered search results to the users. Such altered results will not provide you with the relevant information but rather promote predetermined third-party websites. In other words, the functionality of this site is very low, compared to other legitimate search engines such as Google, Yahoo or Bing. Therefore, it is not advisable keeping it installed on the computer. So, why waste your computer’s space and resources for the useless programs like these? Remove trendingbees.com without hesitation. For that, use professional antivirus tools like Reimage.

Questions about trendingbees.com virus

Even though the users may use this program voluntarily, in most cases, the trendingbees.com hijack occurs unexpectedly and without the user’s permission. This allows the virus to carry out its processes stealthily, without being detected and eliminated from the system. First, the virus takes over the control of the browser’s settings, sets trendingbees.com as the homepage and a default search engine of the infected browser, then, it continues terrorizing the user by injecting annoying ads and sponsored links into the search results. Before you interact with any of these ads, you should be aware of the trendingbees.com redirect issue. Briefly speaking, the advertisements and links this virus generates may be deceptive and lead to websites, completely unrelated to the ads’ content. There is a high chance that such sites may be dangerous as well. Needless to say, trendingbees.com removal is necessary to eliminate the risk of having your computer infected with additional cyber infections.

How can I protect my PC from viruses like these?

If you are not using Trendingbees search engine voluntarily, and this site appeared on your browser out of nowhere, this means that the virus must have infiltrated the computer stealthily. Good news is that the trendingbees.com malware is not a very complex virus, and it does not infiltrate computers completely without the user’s interaction. In fact, the program has to be manually installed on the computer. This can be easily achieved by concealing this potentially unwanted program in software packages along with other freeware and shareware programs. While the users think they are installing a PDF converter, music or video player, in reality, the undesirable components like trendingbees.com enter the system as well. Luckily, you can easily disclose and cancel the installation of additional components by choosing “Advanced” or “Custom” modes while installing new software.
